Syafiq Shahul
President Director, Singapore

Syafiq Shahul is a consultative and visionary leader currently serving pro-bono as President Director of 800C, where he is instrumental in mapping the organization’s growth strategy and driving its regional expansion across Asia. With dynamic experience in leading organizational development and sustainability efforts, Syafiq plays a pivotal role in bridging academia and industry.

He has received numerous accolades, including the Best Academia and Industry Collaboration Award (2022) and the Best Lecturer Award (2020). In 2021, he contributed to PSB Academy’s achievement of the National Book of Records for building the largest Rube Goldberg Machine in Singapore.

As Co-Chairman of the Module Assessment Board, Syafiq is committed to maintaining academic excellence through robust stakeholder engagement and enhancing program development and quality assurance. Deeply active in community initiatives, he serves as a School Advisory Member with Singapore's Ministry of Education (MOE).

In the regional engineering landscape, Syafiq was named an Honorary Member of the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organizations (AFEO) in 2021 and honored with the ASEAN Outstanding Young Engineers Award at CAFEO40 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, in 2022. He has also served as the Asia Pacific Regional Representative for the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and currently serves with the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES).

Shahul Hamid
Managing Director, Singapore

Shahul Hamid is a strategic-thinking leader with expertise in Enterprise Risk Management and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and Sustainability, combined with a strong focus on people-centric leadership to safe operations with quality excellence. With extensive experience in construction projects, construction safety performance and change management both at corporate and regional levels, Shahul has successfully driven initiatives that align to operational safety with business objectives.

In his previous role as Vice President and Regional Director, Shahul was responsible for planning and executing EHS strategies, programs, and activities. He led efforts in regulatory enforcement and surveillance, ensuring the implementation of robust EHS regulatory standards and best practices to mitigate workplace hazards and safeguard employee wellbeing.

A self-motivated and results-driven professional, Shahul brings a wealth of regional and international experience from his leadership roles in globally recognized multinational corporations, including Infineon Technologies, United Engineers Group, Abbott Laboratories, Standard Chartered Group, and Asia’s largest telecommunications company.

Shahul is also a registered Lead Auditor with the International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA), UK, and has conducted audits across major companies in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe..

Daniel Steele

Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) | EHS & Sustainability Leader | Semiconductor Industry Executive

As a seasoned executive, I bring over two decades of leadership in Environmental, Health, Safety, Security, and Sustainability (EHS&S) programs across global semiconductor and manufacturing operations. My strategic approach integrates regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and operational excellence to drive high-impact, sustainable outcomes for complex, high-tech environments.

I am a certified Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) and a recognized leader in navigating complex regulatory landscapes while embedding a strong culture of safety and sustainability. My career spans leadership roles across the semiconductor, chemical, consulting, and manufacturing sectors, where I have successfully led large-scale EHS initiatives, global facilities operations, and business continuity programs.

Key Achievements:

  • Climate Innovation Leader: Led the team that developed the first United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Clean Development Mechanism (CDM)-approved method for reducing carbon emissions in the semiconductor sector (2011).

  • Zero Waste Leadership: Spearheaded the initiative that earned UL 2799 ‘Zero Waste to Landfill’ certification for GlobalFoundries Singapore fabs in 2021—making it the first certified site in Southeast Asia.

  • Global Security Milestone: Directed the effort that resulted in GlobalFoundries Singapore becoming the first semiconductor fab globally to achieve ISO 15408 Common Criteria Security Certification (2012).

  • Board and Council Leadership: Served as BoD Chairperson for GA (Chengdu) Technology Co., Ltd (2020–2024). Former Chair of Singapore’s Business Continuity Council (2005–2010), where I oversaw the launch of Singapore’s National Flu Pandemic Program. Chaired the Management Systems Standards Committee under SPRING Singapore (2014–2017).

  • Industry Sustainability Advocate: Active member of the Sustainability Council of the Singapore Semiconductor Industry Association (SSIA), shaping sustainable practices industry-wide.

A trusted leader and frequent speaker at industry conferences, I continue to champion innovation, resilience, and environmental stewardship in high-tech manufacturing. My mission remains to embed world-class EHS and sustainability practices into the core of business strategy, ensuring a safer, greener future for global semiconductor operations.

Kenny Seow
Managing Partner, Australia

Kenny Seow brings over 25 years of international expertise in disaster recovery, business continuity, and crisis management, spanning the banking, securities, logistics, and government sectors. His strategic insight and operational leadership have supported the resilience of organizations across Asia Pacific and beyond.

Formerly the Regional Head of Business Continuity Management for a global investment bank, Kenny was responsible for implementing BCM programs across 16 countries in the Asia Pacific region. In addition to his corporate leadership roles, he has provided extensive consultancy services to both corporate and government clients, helping them strengthen organizational resilience and crisis preparedness.

Kenny holds a Master of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Computer Science, and a Specialist Diploma in Disaster and Emergency Management Systems. He is a Member of the Business Continuity Institute (BCI), serves as a Board Member of the BCI Australasian Chapter, and is actively engaged in emergency response as a volunteer with the State Emergency Service.
